About Billy ~ 6 month old kitten (on trial 5/5/20)
Meet the ever so handsome Billy, our six month old ginger kitten. Billy is one very special boy. As well as being an absolute stunner - he has a larger than life personality and is entirely adorable.
Billy and his brother Teddy were left in the overnight cages at the pound. Both were covered in fleas and Billy had a cracked canine tooth. Neither of the boys were claimed by previous owners, but they have clearly been family pets.
Billy is a confident, adaptable, outgoing young man, who loves to explore and play. He loves dangling toys, balls, playing hide and seek, chase.... you name it. Even for a young cat, Billy is very active. He will need a forever home with a family who will provide him a high level of interaction.
Billy adores human company. He does have an independent spirit and could probably be left alone for a normal work day - but will definitely need lots and love and attention when you get home. Ideally Billy will go to a home with two or more people.
As soon as Billy sees a human, his purr switch flicks. It’s non stop. He loves affection and will actively seek it. But he’s more likely to be rubbing all over you or kneading you, than sitting next to you peacefully! This will come as he matures.
Billy is a gentle boy, who does not scratch or bite, so he would suit a family with children. He would also suit first-time cat owners. He’s a little champion! While Billy will need to be an indoor-only cat, his confidence and adaptability to new situations means he is the perfect candidate for harness and leash training.
While the only other cat Billy has interacted with is his brother, it is likely he is cat friendly. However, he would happily be an only cat. Billy has interacted confidently with his foster carer’s dog, even showing some affection. However, Billy does not like playing with dogs or being chased. If he lived with a dog, the dog would have to be a calm adult, who would show little interest in him.
Billy is really into his food. Any type of food. However, different types of foods can upset his stomach. Billy will need to be fed good quality dry food only.
Billy is being desexed, and having a cracked canine tooth removed on 1st May. He will be ready for his forever home once he has fully recovered from this procedure.

(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
