About Jordy
Sweet Jordy girl has had a bit of a rough start, but is a clever clogs and eager to learn, she hopes to find the perfect forever home who will provide her with lots of patience and unconditional love. In her time in foster care she has proven herself to be an excellent student, mastering her leash manners, and working to conquer her fears of trucks and trains; after the COVID-19 situation she will need some further socialisation work as she can come off a little "too friendly" in her boisterous desire to play with other dogs which can be a bit intimidating.
Jordy is working on some sleep startle and resource guarding issues, and her new home will need to commit to her ongoing training (Amazing Greys will provide guidance from our professional behaviorist). Due to her potential to snap if her boundaries are pushed too much, Jordy must go to an adult only home and preferably one with a large living space (apartment applications welcome, but they must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide her with safe sleeping and eating spaces away from high traffic areas) - experience with greyhounds or other large breed dogs is a must.
Although she has been very well behaved when left home alone during the day, Jordy can still be a bit nervous if left at night time so will need a slow introduction to this in a new home. She also prefers to be somewhere she can see/hear her humans to sleep through the night. Jordy has excellent house manners, is perfectly toilet trained, and doesn't counter surf - but due to her resource guarding tendencies, a good habit of keeping tempting food items out of reach will best set her up for success.
Jordy is such a gentle girl at heart and has so much love to offer the right home, it will be a truly rewarding thing for her new family to help her become the happy and balanced hound she was always meant to be!
** Jordy is not small animal tolerant and will not be suited to a home with cats, small dogs, or pocket pets **
