About Nitro
Nitro was found wandering lost in the burnt bushland last year. He was skinny and his ear cut up. He then sat in the pound for 3.5 months and we just can’t understand why as this boy is incredible ! Since coming into care with us, he has proven what a gentle, loving and social boy he is and we all think he is just such a dude !
He is a very smart boy and is very receptive to training as he just loves to please, and being food motivated doesn't hurt either. He has learnt to sit, wait for his dinner and walk on leash like an absolutely champ and he travels very well in the car. His recall leaves much to be desired and his new owners will need to continue working on this before letting him off leash as he will just follow his nose !
Nitro is an absolutely perfect housemate. He is a pretty chilled out boy and loves a snuggle up on the couch and some belly rubs. He is low- moderate energy and as long as he has a daily outing and gets a good rumble in with whatever dog he is living with, he will sleep the rest of the day away at your feet.
We are looking for a doggy experienced family with another medium to large, playful dog to keep Nitro company as he just loves other dogs. He is fine with dogs of all shapes and sizes so could happily live with any type of dog as long as they will have a play with him. He can be quite boisterous in his play, so would do best with a medium to large dog that loves to rumble. Although Nitro is very dog social, he is lacking some doggy social skills. His initial greeting style is quite stiff, even though all he wants to do is play which can put other dogs off, so his new owners should do slow introductions and avoid dog parks until his recall and initial meeting body language is improved.
We are looking for a home where Nitro will be an integral part of the family. He is seriously an amazing dog and just so easy to live with. He is respectful and cuddly and will go to sleep on his bed anywhere you put it. We are looking for a home with another robust and playful dog and someone home more often than not as this boy deserves all the attention and company he can get.
If you think you can provide Nitro with his happily ever after, head on over to our Fetching Dogs website and fill out an adoption enquiry form as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
