About George
*In foster care in Dee Why, Sydney*
George is a loving and gentle ginger fellow with a personality the size of Australia! His favourite things include being stroked and picked up for face rubs, climbing to the highest surfaces in a room, and eating food - any food! He's not fussy at all :)
This sweet boy isn't a lap cat, but he'll happily cuddle into you on the sofa or next to you in bed at night. Super-smart and still full of kitten energy, he's learned how to play 'fetch' in foster care and will keep going for hours if you let him! He's also fascinated by water - trying to catch the stream when you're in the shower, attempting to turn on the bathroom tap with his head, and getting actively involved when you wash the dishes. He's such a delightful character!
Like all Maggie's pets, George is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... would be with a cat-loving person, couple or family who is committed to keeping me happy and mentally stimulated. I adore hanging out with my special humans, playing with my toys and being silly!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! I can sleep for long periods too, but only if there's no human interaction on offer. Keep in mind, though - if you don't give me enough attention during the day, I will most definitely ask you to make up for it at 3am!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I think my outgoing purrsonality would be well suited to a family home! I never bite or use my claws, even during playtime.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: As long as I still get plenty of attention and interaction, I should be fine to live with other pets. I might even enjoy having somebody else to entertain - and to keep me entertained!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
