About Frankie
Early March we brought 3 teeny tiny beautiful kittens into care along with their teeny tiny kitten of a mum - Frankie. We took Frankie in for her spay when the kittens were old enough, and we found out she was pregnant again. REALLY pregnant.
As is the Mini way, we brought her home again. All life is valuable. All life deserves saving. And on the 29th of March Frankie went in to labour.
Frankies foster family specialize in helping mothers through their pregnancy and birth. They’ve done it many times before and things have always run pretty well smoothly. Frankie had complications during her second birth and was raced to the vet for a cesarean section. One kitten got out and safe. Baby Dahlia, happy and suckling but Frankie was still in distress, her labour wasn't progressing and the other babies were not in the clear. We are thankful for the watchful eye and quick thinking of her foster carer and her family, and for the vets for being able to see her in her time of urgency.
Mumma Frankie had her surgery and she recovered spectacularly. The veterinary team did a fantastic job and all three babies were born via Caesarean section, fluffy and adorable. Unfortunately little Dahlia started to decline a few days later and didn't make it. She was only apart of 'A Mini Rescue' for a short time but we all love and miss her including her adoring mum. She has been such a good mumma to her two remaining kittens - in spite of them insisting on round the clock attention. Frankie is patient, loving and kind. Not long after this Frankie decided to help another struggling cat mum (she had 8 babies!). Both mums sharing the load of all these bubs. With the kittens already pre adopted and almost ready to leave the nest it is finally mumma Frankies time.
Beautiful Miss Frankie, mum to two litters and only still a big kitten herself, is looking for her forever home. She is gentle and sweet, a total snuggle bunny, Frankie would happily cuddle with you all day. She's also a chatty little lady, very smart and inquisitive. She has a lovely tabby coat and a fluffy tail. Pretty Frankie is only very little and is estimated at around one year of age. All her vet work has been complete, she will be available for adoption once her last litter of bubs are fully weaned.
