PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG

We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS

Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -

* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms

If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.

If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.

Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.

We require you to acknowledge that you have read and agree with all statements before any potential meet and greet can proceed.

Hi, I'm Desma! I love running around then chilling and my main mission in life is to make you happy. I'm looking for a home where I can be exercised daily, you may or may not have other gentle dogs, I don't mind. If there are kids I prefer them to be older as I might accidentally knock over little ones with my excitement. I thrive with human interactions and following you about, I'm ok to be left for a while but I am happiest when with you. Providing me with belly rubs are absolutely mandatory!

I have been in foster care on a farm and have enjoyed roaming around and playing games. I have excellent recall, just whistle and I will come. I don't bark much, sometimes my elation slips out but mostly I only use my voice to let you know someone has arrived. I am quite cruisy and go with the flow, I do need some help to learn how to walk nicely on lead, I forget my own strength and solidness at times. I know a few things though, like how to sit, lay down and wait for my meals. I have a cheesy grin I like to give, just to let you know I'm pleased to see you. I love my food, which makes my school time really fun for us all. I haven't been around cats.
