If dogs were people.. Dexter would be the Dali Lama. Dexter epitomizes everything that is good, calm, loyal, intelligent, joyful, loving and a little bit spiritual.
At almost 9 years he is a maturer dog but with maturity come wisdom and intellect. The Kelpie in him already makes him an obedient well trained dog, walking well on the lead and social with other dogs. Everyone he meets comments on his wonderful good nature.
Dexter has three loves in his life. Firstly and foremost will be his human family. Dexter needs to be part of the family unit sharing and enjoying the family activities outside but welcomed inside the home for pats and cuddles and love.
Secondly, although he is so laid back Dexter absolutely loves his twice daily walks. He gets super excited to go out but once out is very well behaved walking, no need for a halti. He is not a high energy dog but does need the stimulus of the outside world.. twice a day, no excuses!
Thirdly he loves to cuddle. Affectionate and loving he creates a bond with his humans that demands head scratches and belly rubs. He is irresistible.
Dexter would make a wonderful Companion Dog for those who need calm, peace and love in their lives. Loyal and affectionate to a fault he is possibly the ultimate dog companion you could wish for.
