About Bobby
21/5/20
DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF ENQUIRES NO NEW ENQUIRES CAN BE TAKEN ATM. WE WILL CONTACT ALL EXISTING ENQUIRES ASAP, THANKYOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
Bobby is a 12 year old male foxy cross. He weighs about 14kg and is medium in size (more on the smaller medium side of the chart).
His previous owner has moved into a senior home and Bobby is currently living with his foster parents and is looking for his forever home to spend his golden years in.
Bobby is basically a cool grandpa who’s down for walkies so good exercise is a must, but he can also sleep all day and not make a peep. He’s very affectionate, loves scratches, and loves to play wrestle. One thing I noticed about Bobby is that he will insist on being by your side if you’re sad. Whilst Bobby has been a single dog with an older owner, we do think he would love a little bit more activity and adventure in his life these days and the company of another dog in the home is fine, however an older, gentle, smallish dog would be the best match for him I think.
Bobby is very friendly to humans and has never shown any aggression to his carers or strangers. He can be carried and moved around without any problem. Generally Bobby is gentle, quiet, and relaxed around humans.
Bobby is toilet trained as long as he has access to outside, he is suitable for an apartment as long as he is walked a minimum of 3-4 times a day for exercise and toileting needs.
He is still reasonably strong on lead when meeting other dogs on walks but greets them gently and moves on. His recall is not great yet, he is easily distracted, so he is not ready for off lead parks or off lead walks. Bobby is not suited to a home with cats.
Bobby is a couch and bed dog so access to at least the lounge is a must for snuggles.
Bobby is very good in following the sit command, he loves dried chicken treats, meal-time, and food in general. Liver treats might be the only thing he would turn away from.
And also loves chewing on dried pig ears and bully sticks (he needs supervision with the bully stick because it can become a choking hazard for any dog).
He enjoys playing tug with his teddy bear and loves when you try to grab it from him
Foster parents’ words
Bobby is the one of the sweetest dogs in the world. He warmed up quickly to us and our home. All he wants is a family to give him unconditional love and to give him the best last years of his life.
He’s a low maintenance dog in terms of grooming and exercise. I think whoever will welcome him into their family will be the luckiest people alive.
Medical notes
Bobby has recently had a full dental with some extractions and is C3 vaccinated and Proheart injected.
