About Brutus
Adoption Fee: $500
This beautiful boy is Brutus, although he's known as Bruce, which suits him much better! Bruce may be 4 years old, but he's really just like a big cuddly puppy. He thinks he is human and will sit up and sleep on chairs! He also loves to curl up on the bed and have cuddles and tummy rubs. Bruce tries his hardest to be a good boy. He's treat motivated, comes to his name, and learns tricks quickly. Bruce's owners initially allowed him indoors but decided he was too big, and shut him outside, so with his foster family he just loving being indoors again, having fuss made of him and being a part of his carers' lives - he will stick his nose in everything you are doing 😊 He is toilet trained and his carer describes him as 'one of the easiest and cutest fosters we've had'.
Brutus is in care on a property in Bridgetown with other dogs with whom he gets along great. Bruce enjoys life and everywhere you take him is an exciting adventure for this happy boy. He can get excited on lead when he sees other dogs, so his new owners must be willing to put in a bit of work with his lead training and be able to manage him when walking. He does apparently chase cats so not suited to a home with them, but he is fine with the other animals large and small at his foster family's property.
Bruce is an active boy and needs walks and running time and preferably a daily play with another dog to burn off his energy. He loves riding in the car, and loves water. He is a dog who likes to 'talk' to you but will shush when told, for example to let you know if he feels he's missing out on something or to say hi to new people or dogs. He is rather a goofball! Bruce would suit a home where he has doggy company and where he's not left without human company for too long... he's spent too long on his own in the past.
Bruce is just an amazing dog who needs his new family to love him and enjoy every day like he does.
MEDICAL NOTES
Bruce is vet checked, flea and work treated, current with C5 vaccination, microchipped and sterilised. His fee does not include heartworm treatment.
