Xena

Xena is a warrior princess. She was abandoned up the Great Lakes when she just a tiny kitten, less than 8 weeks old. In her quest for survival, she found her self trying to swim across the lake, but had bitten off more than she could chew. Thankfully, someone saw her and was able to take their boat out, catch her in their fishing net and get her back to safety.

After a good dry down and a big meal, Xena spent the night snuggled up to her rescuer glad to be safe again. Unfortunately, her rescuer was unable to keep her forever, and knew that she needed a bit more care than he was able to provide. He brought Xena to the Animal Care Centre in Spreyton, where a foster carer with other kittens the same age was able to take her home and care for her.

Xena is now fighting fit. She is a little fire cracker and has a real joy for life.
