I am a girl, my name is Misty-Moo & I am the BABY MAMMA! I'm bonded to my daughter, ""Cinda"" (Galaxy). We come as a pigeon pair. I am so, so, so lucky to be with a very gentle & loving human foster family. The kids think I'm great & we have regular snuggle, cuddle, total LOVIN sessions.

When we were rescued, all 3 of us had anxiety issues & we can all be a little shy until we have learned to trust you. Time, patience & understanding has seen us all come out of our furry shells! My human foster family call me ""Shadow"" (I am all black underneath whereas Cinda has a left hand side ginger leg/underside) & it makes me preen, I love it. I live with my daughter and we have lots of fun together. We cuddle up together but run up to the cage door when we hear that food is on it's way.

I'm a little bit bigger than Cinda and we both have luxurious long brindly coloured hair that will need to be brushed to keep us looking fabulous. I am a little bit timid and shy and like to be beside Cinda but I'm super easy to cuddle and snuggle up with. Leafy greens are my absolute favourite but am also partial to some apple, cucumber and carrot. We would be suited to a family who will talk to us and give us lots of attention, we are quite the chatterboxes ourselves.

Just like all guinea pigs I love to bury myself under leaves and vegetation. I love tunnels too. I eat a variety of foods, fresh greens every day are a must. We need to be fed twice a day and our diet also includes hay, pellets and washed fruit and veges.

We're a bit more heat tolerant than rabbits. At the moment, in the heat of the Pilbara, I go into a safe outdoor cage in the late afternoons with leaves to play and burrow in. During the day I am inside the house where it's cooler.

What else will I need to be happy? A gnawing block, a brush once or twice a week, fresh water in a metal spouted drip bottle and my own sleeping area - with a cover on top. Guinea pigs need their home cleaned every day and their bedding changed every week. We can live for up to ten years. And we make great pets for gentle children.
