Poppy 🌼

Poppy....our energetic, dog social & lovable Staffy mix girl 💕 This gorgeous girl is currently being fostered on a property and lucky enough to experience Doggie Daycare on a daily basis. She is absolutely loving the space to run and so many new furry friends to keep her entertained. Poppy is fine with children, but due to her energy level, she would be best suited to a home with children over 8yrs. During her time in care, Poppy has been tested around cats and showed no interest in nipping or chasing, she simply avoided them ✔

This girl needs a mate. She loves her training sessions and will certainly benefit from having an experienced dog owner who is willing to commit to providing her with boundaries, ongoing training and daily exercise. Poppy enjoys her walks, but does pull a little when on lead.....with consistent training and a strong pack leader, she will be walking perfectly on lead in no time. She is currently being reminded that jumping on people to greet them, is not acceptable and this will need to be reinforced in her new home.

Poppy is crate trained, toilet trained inside the home and will 'sit' and 'drop' for dinner or treats. She has displayed some resource guarding during her time in care, but again, with a confident and experienced dog owner who is willing to commit to daily training sessions, this can be easily sorted.

So here's what we are looking for......Ideally, a property or large yard where she has room to run and play, an active, social doggie friend to keep her entertained and provide companionship, an experienced dog owner who understands the importance of training and committed to providing this. A loving home where she will be allowed to live both inside and outside as part of the family. Poppy is an absolute sweetheart and deserves an amazing home. She has not shown any interest in jumping fences or digging but will of course need height appropriate fencing to keep her safe.
