About Abbey
Say hello to Abbey!
Abbey is a happy and outgoing young girl. She is a great learner and has lots and lots and lots of energy.
In care, Abbey has learnt some basic commands such as sit, stay and come. As a typical pup, she is easily distracted but she tries hard to be a good girl.
Considering she is still young, Abbey will need lots of toys and games to keep her occupied. She does chew and is currently teething so distractions and interesting games will help her choose the right things to chew. To prevent loss of expensive items, keeping things out of reach is the best option.
Abbey loves everyone! She is very social and loves going out and meeting new people. She is always up for a game and a new adventure, whether it be with her people, chasing or an exciting walk. She does not require a lot of excercise while she is young but will thrive on mental stimulation. Considering her energy levels, she will become destructive if she gets bored.
Abbey will need a desexed MALE canine playmate who has the energy to keep up with her but also the ability to show her how to be calm. She is extremely active so sending her to a home as an only dog is not an option.
As she grows, Abbey will need room to move so a decent yard with good fencing will be important. Regular exercise and activities will help her learn and become the best companion she can be.
She is still learning her manners. She is still getting used to the lead and is still a bit jumpy but she is a quick learner and is getting used to the routine.
Experience with the breed and obedience training will both be a huge advantage to Abbey understanding what is expected from her.
In her foster home, Abbey gets to spend lots of time indoors for cuddles with her people. She also sleeps inside so she can feel safe. She is close to being toilet trained. Still having the occasional accident but improving quickly.
***Abbey has never met cats so she may be best in a home without feline friends***
Please send us information about the type of home you can offer Abbey.
We will be seeking a home with a confident and playful doggy pal for Abbey to spend her days with.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
