About Kal ~ 3yo Staffy x (On trial 02/05/2020)
Hi, my name is Kal and I am a male, 3 year old Staffy x Daschund. I’m only little, but I'm a very active, happy boy who loves nothing more than cuddles on the couch with my humans.
I love to play chasey and have little wrestles with my foster sister, but if she gets too rough I hide behind my foster mum. I love meeting other dogs and people, and going for walks or car rides to the beach is my favourite! I sleep sitting up on the couch like a funny old grandpa, and I love chewing on bones.
I have some basic commands like “sit”, “stay” and “come”, but some further training will help me to remember everything even if I’m distracted by special smells or sounds. My foster mums are very impressed by how quickly I learn things like waiting to cross the road and go through doors, so training me will be a breeze!
We don’t know much about my past, but I have been desexed, vaccinated and wormed and love all the humans and dogs that I meet.
My ideal home will have someone at home most of the time as I do get sad if my humans leave for too long. Another gentle small to medium size dog that I can play chasey with would be great, and I might like to live with some older children that know not to be too rough because the more hands for pats, the better!
If you are looking for a small dog-shaped bundle of love to add to your family then I might be the dog for you.
I am currently in care in the Newcastle area, NSW. For more information, email Shannon at skmsweeney@gmail.com or you can fill out the adoption form online at https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
My adoption fee is $300 and I am desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
