PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG

We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS

Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -

* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms

If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.

If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.

Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.

If you are looking for a loyal and gentle companion, Skylabelle might be your girl! Skylabelle is looking for a kind and loving retirement home. She is in good health for her age, she initially came into care severely overweight and needed her teeth cleaned, but has lost a few kilos and improved her fitness level since going on regular daily walks. She gets around just fine, just has some trouble getting up, but when she is up and about, she loves to go for walks. She currently goes for 3 to 4 short slow walks a day and absolutely loves them, so will need someone who will be happy to continue this, as it also helps her with her weight loss. Skylabelle wants to be part of your daily life, she needs a home where she is allowed inside 99% of the time and will only be adopted out to someone who is home most of the time or can take her to work, she'd be a great and quiet office dog. You will need to be committed to continue with her weight management (food/daily walks).

Skylabelle adores everyone that she meets and loves a pat. She is great with other animals and very sweet and loving with people of all ages. She is more people oriented than animal oriented. Skylabelle is an ideal companion, she will plod beside you and just be your shadow. She is good in the house, in the car and on lead.
