About Sandy
Meet Sandy!
Sandy came into care from the pound under duty of care due to her having 4 underage kittens with her and she also came in with a badly injured leg. Sandy was weak, malnourished and flea ridden.
Sandy babies were very young and she was still nursing them so we gave her afew more weeks with her babies and to gain strength until they had to be separated for Sandy to have leg amputation surgery. Sandys bubs will all be coming up for adoption soon please don’t ask about the kittens via Sandys app they aren’t available yet
Sandy recovered so well from leg amputation and starting to show us her sweetheart personality because she Is no longer in mum mode.
Sandy is 3 years young so very much acts like a kitten still
She loves to zoom and play with toys. She loves catching bugs and will throw them around for ages.
She bonds really strong to her humans and loves to follow you around the house
While Sandy isn’t a lap cat she does love to curl up next to you and get lots of head scratches! She is very affectionate and loving towards her humans.
Sandy will need a nice window in her forever home where she can sunbake and watch the world go by.
If you up for a chat Sandy loves to have a chat and tell you all about her day and also remind you it’s dinner time.
Sandy isn’t fussy with food however needs a premium diet (not supermarket cat food).
She is on grain free premium food and her coat is immaculate and soooo soft!
If you feed raw even better.
This girl has been through so much in her short life and deserves to be an absolute queen in her new home
She has been in care with a small baby and ignores her but She isn’t suitable with small loud bouncy kids.
Sandy does better in a quieter household where she feels comfy and not on edge.
It’s taken her carer a lot of time and effort to help her trust humans so we need to make sure she doesn’t go backwards because the household is too overwhelming for her.
Being a ragdoll sandy does shed hair. She does take really good care of her coat it’s always beautiful and soft. She doesn’t mind being brushed.
Sandy is a smaller ragdoll not at all a huge cat.
Whilst in care sandy has been around a rottweiler who is VERY calm and well trained
She has been ok co existing but is not her friend. If your have outside dogs sandy will be fine but any indoor dogs would have to be super chilled and well mannered and happy to leave her alone. She doesn’t want to be friends with the dogs.
Sandy doesn’t get along with female cats she is the dominant cat and doesn’t tolerate being challenged however she may be ok with a chilled male. We will only rehome her with another cat if the new owner is cat savvy and willing to take introductions very slow!!
While in care we have been teaching sandy all about cat scratches and how to use them! She also loves her snuggly warm beds and foster mums bed!
Sandy has no issues jumping on and off furniture with 3 legs
Note Sandy is STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY. Unless you have a secure cat enclosure
Please don’t hesitate if you have any further questions about this stunner!
Please note due to Covid 19 we can’t perform meet and greets so we will be interviewing all applications over the phone. If successful pick up will be contactless which we can explain how it works.
Medical notes
