About Shadow. Melbourne
Shadows favourite physical activity is going for a walk, not too long about 30min, she gets quite tired. She needs a walk twice a day, absolutely loves them! She has lots of energy in between walks after long naps! Shadow would be ok as an only dog, but so far she has been great with other dogs she has met on her walks. She has adapted very well, she is still learning to walk up and down stairs, struggles with grip. She is still learning general commands like ‘no’ but she is slowly understanding. Everything else she has been fine with. She has lost nearly half of her teeth so we have needed to continue feeding her soft food, and i would say this will need to continue. Other than that, no other medical issues.
We have not seen her around children or cats, so not too sure with that one. She has been fine with smaller dogs.
The best way to describe shadow is, loving, playful, and cuddly! She has black fur, with big brown eyes and she is on the smaller side.
She knows how to cuddle and kiss, she will tilt her head down into your lap while the rest of her body stands and stay that way for ages. She loves to play with toys and will throw and catch to herself! To be honest everything that she does makes me smile! I love everything about her but i would have to say couch cuddles are my favourite. She absolutely loves them!
Shadow has not been cat tested, so please cat-free homes only.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
