About Jet ~ 10mo Kelpie x Cattledog (On Trial 23/5/20)
Jet, the lovely 10 month old Kelpie x Cattledog is looking for his forever home. He is a super sweet boy that will really thrive with his new owners and a place to call his own.
Although he can be a tiny bit shy when meeting new people, he absolutely adores his carers and greatly desires to be a part of his new family. He is very affectionate to us as foster carers and we can only imagine how much he will love his forever family.
Whilst Jet is always up for a walk or even a long run with us, he has been very happy to chill out with us inside or outside. He is a very respectful dog that doesn’t jump up on furniture and will sit and listen to commands, he is also very keen to please and is thus receptive to new training.
Jet takes a little while to socialise with other dogs and we have been working on this with him in his daily walks. On his walks he can bark at other dogs if not distracted by his carer with treats or attention, however he has shown significant improvement in only days. This is something we would like his new family to be willing to work on with him. Jet would be great as an only dog, though he'd love if someone were home a lot. He used to live with another medium sized dog, but if he lives with another dog then he will need a slow introduction and a way to separate both dogs until they are used to each other.
He has met many primary school kids on his walks and is great with them. We are not sure how he would go with cats or pocket pets.
Jet is going to make an incredibly loyal and loving addition to his new home.
