About Ellie *application pending*
Hello lovely hoomans, I’m Miss Ellie (or Ellie Bean or munchkin as foster mum likes to call me). I’m a gentle natured pup who has been through a lot in my life. I’m slow to trust new people but I adore my current humans and I am very affectionate when I am comfortable. I also adore my foster brothers, who have shown me how to love and play, and would love a patient (furry) role model in my new home.
I’m pretty chill for a Kelpie – of course I love to do zoomie runs but am also quite content pottering about with you in the yard or curled up next to you on the couch. The couch is one of my safe places, and I do what foster mum calls a sneaky cuddle when I want to be on there. Like all Kelpies, I am very intelligent and enjoy using my brain, so I would like to continue with my training.
I am still scared of the world; and while I’ve come a long way whilst being in care, my new owners need to understand that they’ll have to be patient with me. My new home shouldn’t have young children because I startle easily, similarly with busy/noisy environments. My ideal family would be very patient and kind hearted to help me to continue to grow my confidence and skills.
So I’m not just for anybody, but for the right somebody, I will be your sweetest best friend.
Thank you
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we may not respond to your enquiry if you do not complete the application form in full.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
***Please note - due to COVID19, Interstate adoptions have been suspended except for those between NSW and VIC, that do not cause extra unnecessary movement or socialisation of people. Meet & greets will not proceed as normal, and we have implemented protocols for hand over of dogs being adopted locally, to ensure the safety and protection of our adopters and our volunteers. We appreciate your understanding and working with us through this difficult time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
