When nigel was collected from the vet clinic where he was desexed, microchipped etc, the vet asked why he had such a strange name for a male dog - nigella ??? \ we said "but nigella is a girl. . . . . . . " no said the vet - she's definitely a boy !!!!! hence, the change to nigel! his name change hasn't made him any less lovable - he just plays and plays and plays in his foster home - loves kids, other dogs - just an all round happy chappy!
