About Rex
Rex is a 5 year old German Shepherd, who was owned by a elderly gentleman.
Rex was a constant companion to his owner and therefore needs a home where people will spend a lot of time with him (retirees, working from home, etc.). He must be able to sleep inside the home.
He has had a sheltered life & is doing so well at his foster carer home.
Rex is timid until he gets to know you but is then very friendly. He walks well on a lead and loves his walks. He is also good in the car. He has a big bark but rarely uses it.
He wasn’t keen on dried food but now his appetite is coming back is eating better, particularly when mixed with roo or other lean minces and vegetables.
Overall a very sweet natured dog who is very trainable. He also likes lots of cuddles.
Loves being by your side. He is an absolute pleasure to have around x
Not tested with cats
Would be okay with children over the 12 years
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
