About Conde. Melbourne
Our curious Conde is a bundle of energy! He is a bouncy boy with an outgoing personality, but inside he is a big softy who loves to play cuddle. Conde loves to go on a couple of walks a day and enjoys taking his time and having a good sniff around.
Conde is enjoying being an only dog and is incredibly affectionate with his foster mum. He makes mornings incredibly joyful, as he is always excited to see his human in the morning and is very playful. Conde’s floppy ears are very expressive and help him show you how he’s feeling.
Conde is a clever boy who has learnt how to use the stairs very quickly. He doesn’t mind loud noises (like the vacuum) and has been okay with the children he has met. Conde is still learning about other dogs and some, particularly small fluffs, have caused him to growl / become agitated.
At meal-times, Conde can become quite boisterous in his excitement for his next meal but with training, he has become more respectful whilst waiting for his food. He would benefit from a human who is willing to continue doing some training with him.
Conde has not been cat tested, so no cat or small dog homes please.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
