About Handsome Boris
🍀🐕 🍀 ATTN: NSW/ACT – Handsome Boris is on the lookout for his forever home. 🍀🐕 🍀
Boris is a handsome 4-year-old pug cross who came into our care as his family could no longer look after him. Sadly, Boris didn’t have a great start to life and now finds him looking for a quiet and loving home.
Information about Boris (please read carefully):
▪️ AGE: 4 years old
▪️ BREED: Pug Cross
▪️ LOCATION: Canberra – Sydney and surrounds
▪️ KIDS: Not suited to children.
▪️ CATS: Untested
▪️ MEDICAL NOTES: Boris suffers from sore hips which is easily manageable by his new family by providing Boris with periodic Synovan injections, a daily Glyde Chew and pain relief medication for the rest of his life. While none of the above medication is expensive, it is a lifelong commitment to ensure this beautiful boy gets to live the rest of his life pain free. Boris will also need to be on a strict diet to ensure unnecessary weight does not impact on his quality of life.⏲ Additionally, Boris is on medication to help his with anxiety. This, combined with a quiet, loving home environment has had a positive effect and we feel in time his dosage will be able to be reduced, but will need to be re-assessed once he settles into his new home.
▪️IDEAL HOME:
Boris is a beautiful, attentive, and loving Pug cross. He loves and trusts people and follows his foster parents around the home all day keeping them company both in the house and garden. 🥰
Boris has had very little in the way of consistent training and human interaction and is therefore an anxious dog, especially when being handled or in new situations.
He is very reactive to external noises and shows excitement/stress. He really needs a very quiet, calm home environment with an owner who is home often and experienced with dogs. He would NOT suit a home with children or a lot of activity.🤫
Boris’ foster home has two other calm and older male pugs which he gets on very well with. He has no current exposure to other pets (such as a cat). Although he does not need another pet to be his companion, and can be an only pet, but he DOES need a person to be home more often than not.
Boris is starting to relax in his foster-home with lots of pats and affection from his humans. He is a good sleeper at night and loves sleeping on pillows and being surrounded by blankets in a big nest. 😴
He is mostly house-trained and is gaining confidence using the doggy door and getting used to daily household routines in his foster home.✅
He likes a short stroll around the block once a day within a quiet environment, although he is happier being inside with his owner and doesn’t spend much time in the backyard on his own.
With consistent training and affection in the right, quiet home, Boris would be a loving companion. ❤️
Boris has plenty of love to give and we know that there’s loving family that would be perfect for him. If you believe this could be your family, we would love to hear from you.
