About Lexie
Meet young Lexie a two year old pedigree desexed female German Shepherd in care on the Southern Highlands.
Lexie in her vital months of her young life, has been a much loved family member, who has received professional training to redirect her energy and provide her with boundaries, stimulation with cues and basic obedience.
Lexie has grown up in a home as the only dog, she is a high energy Shepherd who will require consistency and continued training with interaction, guidance, stimulus and cues.
Lexie would not be suitable to go to a home with livestock, cats or another dog as she is a high drive German Shepherd. She will also require a home where she is an integral family member, she is house trained and had inclusion in the family home.
Due to her size as a large breed dog we would recommend a home with older children or a couple who are out door enthusiasts and active.
This gorgeous intelligent young shepherd is in need of a committed experienced German Shepherd owner. Preferably an owner who has the time and commitment to continue with the requirements of further training.
Lexie would excel in “nose work” or similar stimulus for her energy levels. If you have the experience and the time to commit to a young high energy shepherd then please contact us.
Lexie is in excellent health and she comes with her full veterinary history and Pedigree papers. She has received obedience training and is a loving dog.
Please click the “Enquire for this Pet” link if you can fulfil Lexie’s needs.
Medical notes
Lexie comes with a full Veterinarian history her Pedigree papers and Obedience report.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
