About Anna. Melbourne
When Anna first came to us, she was quite timid and used to cry a lot. After a few weeks in foster care, she came out of her shell, started eating well and putting on some weight. Anna’s coat is now super shiny and her bald patches are filling out.
Anna took a while to warm to pet life but has been responding well to corrective prompts given by her foster carer when caught in the act of mischief.
Anna is a very high energy young lady and uses this energy to do some interior and exterior re-design with items such as blankets, dog beds, cushions and shoes may end up all over the yard.
A lot of Anna’s behaviours seem to stem from excitement, and her zest for life means she is excited quite often. Hey will bring to your life lots of gorgeous disruption. She uint your text-book couch potato greyhound.
Prior to her morning walks, she has been prone to jumping and nipping in order to assist the ‘getting ready’ process. She is progressing with training in the area.
Anna is an excitable gal, but calms down with 1:1 attention and a firm voice. She will benefit from a home where she is not left alone for long periods of time.
Anna has had no difficulty socialising and integrating with her fellow canine foster siblings. She knows her name but continues to work on recall as she is likely to become distracted by sights and smells around her.
Anna has not been cat tested, so no-cat or small dog homes please.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
