IMPORTANT NOTICE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING FOR A DOG

We are very concerned about the health of our volunteers and their families.
To protect them, we require you to read the following and answer honestly before any meet and greets can be organised.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS

Any of these symptoms, or any family member displaying, we ask you to wait before applying for a dog -

* Coughing or sneezing
* runny or blocked nose
* shortness of breath
* high temperature or fever
* sore throat
* aches or pains
* other flu like symptoms

If you have returned from overseas or been on a cruise anywhere in the world, please do not apply within 2 weeks of your return to Australia.

If you are in self isolation, please do not apply, you need to stay at home.

Thank you for valuing our carers health, knowing that a false declaration will endanger them and any future animals that we would be unable to help.

Mayani is doting, loyal and also a total princess!

What an absolute delight. Definitely an attention seeker with much more appreciation of human interaction over other dogs. However, she is certainly dog friendly and the cats don’t seem to care either way. The overbite gives her such character and she sure has the personality to boot. She is a total snuggle bunny whether on the lap or nearby and is always on the lookout for a pat.

She does need to be with someone who can offer her continued time and commitment. She is not suitable to be left by herself without any company. This little Miss will demand special attention if being kept as a single dog, but with another dog around (she gets on well with our smaller companions but have not seen her with larger sized dogs) she does enjoy a play!

Mayani may need to get a tooth removed at some stage in the future due to overcrowding of teeth in her lower jaw, but at the moment the vet is not concerned.
This total darling loves her treats and responds well to basic commands.
