About Amore
Amore, means love and you are sure to fall in love with this sweet 4 year old boy.
I am a sweet, loving boy that needs a quiet household that understands I need to take things slow. I am a bit of a worrywart I suppose but if we have a gentle, quiet routine with an owner who is patient I am just adorable.
Hello, my name is Amore, I am part tabby, part siamese and fully loveable! My coat pattern is beautiful and it feels great too. My foster mum loves stroking my fur and running her fingers through it (I like it too hehe). She says that I am the closest thing she will get to that is like a mink coat.
Look, I'll try to be humble...My blue eyes - amazing! Whoops maybe that's not so humble but it sure is honest. After overcoming my shyness, I have really started to settle in very nicely. It took me a little longer because I got a little ill there and the vets were pretty scary. I am 100% now and finally forgiving my foster mum. I am quite a smoochy, purring machine, giving lots of head butts when I'm feeling like a strong, brave confident boy.
Whilst I say I am 100% I guess I always need to be careful. I am healthy and totally ready to find my home but at the same time I will need someone who is willing to keep a watchful eye over me. When I get nervous, stressed or scared my body plays up and I can get really ill. I am not good with new things or people. I really am worth it though. I trust my foster mum enough to sit in her lap and I think it made her cry tears of joy.
Not only am I cuddle bug now, I also play! I play with the feather like a cute little kitten again, I've never heard my foster mum giggle so much! I like playing and now that it's not scary here I like snuggling. I take some calming and happy tablets and they really seem to be working. If you meet me through video you will be able to see who I am and what I'll be like. I just don't think I am brave enough to meet you in person and not hide.. maybe you will be okay with that?
If you do pick me, if you can handle the wait and my overthinking noggin you will know a love like never before. I promise to be there for you through thick and thin (as long as it's not toooo scary! hehe ) a good way to start a good relationship with me is food! I absolutely love crunching away at my biscuits whilst receiving pats. It's a pretty sweet way to eat. Amore (Ray) has lived with an alpha cat and other cats, also a friendly dog. If you think you and Amore are a purrfect match, please contact us.
Medical notes
He has had UTI issues in the past and needs to be in a quiet home to help him settle and on a special diet . He is a quieter cat
Regarding Amores needs.
I feed Amore Hills Prescription Diet, Urinary care. (Other brands are available) Also a few biscuits the same brand with water mixed through) Now he is much improved, out and about with me in kitchen I will also be giving him a few meat scraps.
Meds are “Neurontin”- 1/2 capsule sprinkled on food morning and night and a once a day capsule supplementary, “Zylkene” (can buy over the counter or online).
Would keep Amore on the Neurontin for a good couple of weeks post adoption and the Zylkene until adopter is sure he is totally settled in.
It doesn’t hurt to keep animals on this supplement forever. Just like us taking a cup of camomile tea for stress.
