About Hector DL2444
Meet Hector – Affectionately known as Hercules... Because if you’ve ever read Hairy Maclary, you’ll know that Hercules Morse is as big as a horse!
He is mostly a sleepy gentle giant, but loves going on his walks even if its down to the local coffee shop to lay in the sun. His personality is as big as he is, and he’s not shy to let you know when he's ready for a pat. He'll place a paw on you, or will stand right in the way and nudge your hand as you go past.
On lead, Hector is gentle meeting other dogs and people, but can become anxious or overexcited if interactions aren't closely monitored and controlled. Due to previous fear-based reactions, it is safest to remove him from these situations to allow him to relax. He isn't suited to off lead play with other dogs.
For this reason, Hector suits an experienced dog handler who is not only confident with large dogs but also in reading body language. He is looking for an adult household where he can be your only pet and have all the pats to himself.
Hector's okay with full time workers, as long as you're giving him the attention he needs once you're home. He's a giant sook and will be happy to see you!
