About Boof
Boof wandered into a person's house in the wee hours of the morning a couple of months ago and gave them and the resident cats a fright! He was looking for something to eat but ended up going for a short holiday at the local pound before coming out into care with Cat People of Melbourne.
Boof is a big handsome tabby cat with gorgeous markings, a big ruff and huge eyes, and a fluffy tail. He's still a bit skinny from being on the streets but he's making up for it by eating like a champion! He's currently working as a rodent operative at a foster carers (he really does like a bit of outdoor time). Boof is big strong cat and if he doesn't want to be picked up or handled, he will let you know quite firmly. That said he will smooch you, ask for pats and be really cute when he wants food. We think he may have a street full of owners where he came from, he's got some really winning ways and knows how to impress.
If you're looking for a big tabby tiger to call your own and spend time with, and walk around with on a lead & harness (once you've convinced him there's food in it for him), you'll have a charming fun friend for life. Boof the floof... are you ready to for it?
Boof is a healthy raw fed cat who has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #956000012117888, source #EE101165). He is available for adoption right now!
------------------------------------------------------
To adopt a cat from Cat People you'll be required to have a remote or in-person house check done, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Cats from our group are all are vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being taken home by their adopters. Additionally, all of our cats have been evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and well socialised. Please note: all Cat People cats and kittens are indoor only, this is not negotiable.
We will communicate with you through every step of the adoption process to ensure that your experience (and the cat's) is excellent and that you are confident in your decision to adopt a feline companion. Returns are only accepted due to health issues confirmed by a veterinarian.
We only accept adoptions from people with residency in Australia. If you are on a work or student visa, talk to us about fostering with the group instead!
