About Charlotte
Charlotte: Royal by Name, Royal by Nature
This gorgeous Queen is a 7-year-old Selkirk Rex; a breed rare in Australia that we have had intrigued vets say they will need to google it to find out more.
Charlotte has been in care with her foster carers for 3 weeks and has made their home her kingdom. She is very confident and loves people, instantly accepting affection and attention from all humans, even ones she has just met. She takes a little longer with animals and would suit being the only kitty in the kingdom, as she loves having her domain and her humans to herself.
She is bossy and opinionated, but in the most adorable ways; strutting straight into any room as soon as a door is opened to give a full inspection and walking up to her human and meowing at them for pats and snuggles.
Even more than her throne and crown, this queen LOVES to give and receive love. Her favourite place to lay or sit is on her humans. She loves sleeping on pillows next to them, or under the covers with them. During the day, she loves being close to them and keeping them company and getting lots of pats when she can.
As with a lot of Rex breed cats, Charlotte has been suffering from an ear infection which we have been treating. We aren’t sure yet if this will be an ongoing issue, but it can be managed and hopefully prevented with ear drops a couple of times a week.
Her fur is currently short because she was so matted it had to be shaved down when she first came into care, but once it grows back, she will have gorgeous long curly, soft fur. This requires a lot of grooming as it easily mats.
If you think you can handle a whole lot of royal love and beauty, please consider making an application to adopt our beautiful little Queen Charlotte.
Please note Charlotte is untested With young kids and given the covid19 we are unable to test her with kids. She is fine with children 8 years plus.
She will tolerate chilled out dogs that let her be but won’t be suitable for bouncy dogs
Please do some research on her breed and the requirements of looking after them before applying
We DO NOT do interstate other then ACT
