About Ranger (On Trial)
Hi, my name is Ranger, my foster pawrents call me Ranger Danger ‘cause they think they’re at risk of being smothered by all my cuddles and wet nose kisses, I have sooo many to give! Like I said, I’m a very smoochy boy and am looking for a home with someone who could take lots of pats, cuddles and kisses. I don’t know how to couch yet so am happy to chill on my bed beside you in the evenings. I do know how to bed though so look out for morning cuddles if you’re into that 😉 or tell me not to if you like, I’m pretty good at doing what I’m told… mostly!
My favourite games are playing with you and my squeaky toys, finding chicken in strange places (my foster mum likes to hide it in things) and stealing the mince out of the freezer when foster mum is bagging it up. She tells me this isn’t funny but then laughs a lot, I think she’s fibbing, or maybe she’s worried I’ll get my snoot caught in the freezer?
I love to play and have my hoomans around for all the attention but am happy to ‘greyhound’ at home, snoozing all day so you can bring home the biscuits. I think I’d be best as a solo dog at the moment, without any other furry friends, but I reckon any younger humans (maybe 8 and older?) would be great for attention and playing. I also thrive on a routine so would fit neatly as a snoozer between school pick up and drop off and then keep them entertained in the afternoon! I absolutely love meeting new people too!
I am super chill about most things, I can do stairs like a boss, I don’t mind the rain, thunder and the vacuum don’t scare me at all but I’m a bit wary about other dogs. My foster mum is doing this new thing called ‘training’, all I know is it involves lots of chicken so seems pretty good so far and should help me with my fear of dogs, if you want to keep doing training with me that would be really cool.
I think I could be an excellent addition for your family, so long as you have a quiet corner with a plush bed I can retreat to when I’m tired, I’ll have an abundance of love and affection to give you for all of my days. Please feel free to contact my foster mum or Greyhound Rescue to organise a meet and greet!

Adoption details
We will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
