About Marther (Adoption Pending)
Hi there, I’m Marther! I was quite a nervous girl when I first came to Greyhound Rescue, but with lots of TLC from my wonderful new foster carers, I’m coming out of my shell more and more each day.
I don’t ask too much from my forever home, just as long as there are lots of comfy spots where I can snooze the day away, and some kind and patient humans who continue teaching me all about the joys of pet life. I get along well with other dogs, although I’m quite happy to be your only dog as well. I’ve even been sharing my foster home with a cat, and I think I’d be happy to share my forever home with one of them too!
*Marther has been diagnosed with Pannus for which she’ll have to have ongoing twice-daily eye drops.
A note from Marther’s foster carers:
Marther is thriving in her foster home. She’s dog friendly (all sized dogs – she just isn’t particularly interested in other dogs) and is also cat friendly (currently living with a cat and also not particularly interested, though they have boopped noses a few times and it is the cutest!
She’s most scared of the wind, but at all not bothered by daily noises of apartment complex living. She hates the rain even though we adore her in her raincoat!
Oh, and she sleeps more than the cat!

Adoption details
We will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
