About Princess ~ 2yo German Shepherd(adopted 1/7/20)
This beautiful girl is Princess. Princess is a 2 year old German Shepherd. Through no fault of her own, Dog Rescue Newcastle are helping her find a new home.
Princess is a very friendly loving girl who is intelligent and active. She craves human attention, interaction and wants to please her family. A girl who just wants to be loved, included and spoilt.
This gorgeous girl has good manners and knows basic commands; she sits for her food and is a smart girl who would pick up further training easily. Princess can be wary of new people, but if initial contact is conducted in a non-threatening manner it will result in her being your lapdog after a few minutes.
Playing catch and retrieve is her passion and loves water so much that using a hose in her company is highly amusing. Princess is very excited about going for walks and tends to pull but her training using a halti has been successful and her training needs to be continued with her new family.
Being a big active girl, she would be best placed with older children. She is used to sleeping inside and would like to be fully included in her new family's life.
Princess is keen to meet all dogs but would be best suited to another calm dog, living with a large male in her foster home has been going well. Princess hasn't been exposed to small animals, cat or small dogs and we are not sure how she would go.
Princesses home should have secure fencing, although she is not an agile girl… in fact she may need a lift into the car!
Please submit an adoption questionnaire at https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or or more information please contact Jen on grimjen@outlook.com . Princess is in the Lake Macquarie area and is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens.
Princess' adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
