About Maggie
This adorable little lady is Maggie.... she's our 1 yr old Black Frenchie, and an absolute stunner! Maggie is in care with another Frenchie and 2 older Jack Russells who she gets along great with. With an outgoing and playful, yet gentle personality, Maggie
would be best suited to a home where she had the company of another smaller, young playful dog or her humans, and a decent size yard to run around. She is extremely snuggly with her humans and has a confident personality.
Maggie is friendly with everyone she meets. She absolutely loves to play fetch and will even bring the ball back to you! She's a beautiful girl who doesn't bark or sook and is in the process of crate training at night.
Now she can be a mischievous little girl if left on her own.....so puppy proofing your home would be recommended! She would not cope well as an only dog if left alone for long periods of time. Frenchies LOVE their people.
Despite their glum expression, the French Bulldog is comical and entertaining. They are quite stubborn and can be challenging to train, yet also surprisingly sensitive, remembers what they learn, and responds well to early, patient, persistent training that utilizes food motivation.
Snorting, snuffling, and flatulence go with the territory of short-faced breeds. We recommend doing your research on the breed before choosing to own one, as they do come with a range of health issues and require certain needs.
Due to their 'screw' tails, they are susceptible to a condition known as 'hemivertebra of the spine'. When hemivertebra is present in your dog’s tail, it typically is not an issue. When it is in their spine, it can lead to serious problems. The deformity of the vertebrae will lead to a twisting of the spine which can compress your dog’s spinal cord. Hemivertebra can be minor, where only one or two vertebrae have the deformity and the dog does not experience any clinical signs. In some cases, the dog will experience minor symptoms; in other cases, the condition will significantly impact the dog’s ability to function.
Maggie has been tested for this condition and has no visible spinal defects which is wonderful as it's common in the Breed. She is unlikely to have any issues down the track, but please take into consideration though, that the French Bulldog is by no means an athlete or flyball champion! Any activities that involve twisting of the spine are not recommended. Maggie has also had her nares and soft palate checked at the time of Desex and both were looking great.
So if you've done your research and decided that this breed is for you, please send us an enquiry. Maggie has had all her vet work completed and now ready to head off to her forever home. She is located in Long Jetty on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
