About Jack ~ cuddly 3yo Cattledog x (On Trial 28/3/20)
Hey there, I’m Jack! I’m 3 years old in May. I’m a lovely cattle dog x, although my registration say Ridgeback x but I don’t see any Ridgeback. Dog Rescue Newcastle are helping my owners find me a new home.
As you can see from my photos, I’m really good looking. I’m a healthy boy and I have a super-soft coat which makes me the perfect cuddle dog.
I do love to get out and about for a walk. I’m good with other dogs when I’m out and about. I behave perfectly when I’m out on a lead. I’ll sit before crossing the road.
I currently live with a small dog and we get on fine. I can live with a cat if I need to. Maybe, just maybe, I might chase something smaller like a rabbit or guinea pig if I had a chance, so better if you don’t have them.
I’d prefer just to live with a smallish family, that doesn’t have a huge number of visitors coming through the house. I get a bit freaked out when I meet tall men with big voices at my home and will bark at them. I don’t bark for no reason though, but I will let you know when visitors arrive.
In the backyard, I like to zoom around but I don’t dig. I love playing fetch with a ball, tug ‘o war and chewing my toys.
Really, I’d just like a home where I can chill with my people, lounge around with a few hugs, have a play outside, get out and about for a walk. I could even be a lap dog if that’s what you’re looking for.
I can do some tricks for you. I’ll sit, down, wait, spin around, jump, etc on command. I am toilet trained and would love to go to a home where I am welcomed inside.
Basically, I’m just a softie once I get to know people, but I don’t want to meet too many tall scary men.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
