Meet Buddy!

This friendly chap came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender and is now ready to take the next step into his perfect home!

Due to his history Buddy was very scared initially when he came into care, but with time and lots of love he has flourished. He is friendly towards people and would be good in a home with gentle older children.

He doesn't particularly like larger dogs but gets on fine with smaller dogs and cats. He is housetrained, rarely barks and walks well on his lead. He knows a couple of basic commands and is a work in progress with others.

Buddy doesn't really play at present and we will encourage his new owner to engage and play with him as much as possible. This will help with the bonding process and assist Buddy in gaining confidence to allow his gorgeous personality to grow and shine through.

Buddy is an extremely faithful boy and will follow you around, he's a small boy with a huge heart. He's never happier than when he's sitting on someone's knee.

His ideal home will be a quiet one, maybe with sensible, older children and the absolute necessity is a calm environment - he is frightened of raised voices and tension. He previously lived with another small dog and a family so would need the company of another small dog and/or someone who is home most of the time and is willing to take him out so he is not left alone too long. He has so much love to give and needs to be treated as a special part of the family, which means living inside with access to the garden.
