About Woody
❤️❤️ Woodys Story ❤️❤️
10 Month old Bulldog x looking for his happy forever after.
There is an old Japanese Proverb that we use often in rescue “Fall down 7 times, Stand up 8”
No matter how hard it is, we get up again and again .. inspired by these babies with 4 legs who no matter how big the blows constantly amaze us with their resilience and their will to live and love.
It makes some stronger, some weaker and some like Woody .. well it just changes them.
Woodys story began last year when we were made aware of a mother Bulldog who had been dumped at the pound with her 14 tiny babies shivering beside her in a plastic crate.
Sadly, only Mother Bulldog and 10 babies made it to the safety of rescue, 4 little ones just weren't strong enough.
Our Little Family grew by 11 in one moment.
Mother "Misty" and 10 beautiful little babies came to us to heal, to recover and to find love and hope.
Slowly, Slowly the healing began and all 11 found forever homes, a big scared mum and 10 silly, strong little pups with the biggest personalities found families to complete.
A big scared mum and 9 silly little pups are still living that dream.
Woody is not .. Woody has been “returned”.
Maybe he didn’t fit in as expected, cute little pups get big, they chew, they need training.
We cannot at this stage go into details about his return but suffice to say Woody has changed in the last few months.
This time he is not bouncing back like before, this time he doesn’t have his mother and 9 brothers and sisters to tell him it will be ok.
But after another fall .. he is surrounded by people who have stood up and are giving him so much love and strength.
Woody is healing but he is different.
No longer confident, proud and independent, the new Woody is very shy and sensitive.
Incredibly sweet and loving, he is a dog that needs constant reassurance.
Still loves to play but more of a follower than a leader.
Yes, Woody is different, but he has found his feet and whilst his heart is bruised, we are confident that it will heal over time.
He does suffer a little separation anxiety (hardly surprising) but this is really improving with being left alone for longer periods.
Clearly Woody needs security, he needs to know he is loved.
In return you will get the sweetest, most loving and loyal little boy.
Woody is very gentle with children and dogs however we have not cat tested him.
If you believe you could be Woodys happy ending And love him “To Infinity and Beyond” please send us a message (we do miss comments)
If not PLEASE take a second to hit "share"
