About Finlo
Meet beautiful Finlo 💔💚
Finlo is a kelpie all the way with a fun and playful nature
He is not a big boy only weighing in at 16 kilos and is pretty much finished growing
Finlo is as expected of the breed super smart and wanting to please and learn
He sits when asked , drops and is slowly learning his stay command
Finlo loves nothing more than to follow you around and be your BFF 💔
He is a little jumpy when excited but when told he will settle
Finlo is currently in foster on a property with horses and is being long leaded around them in which he is doing very well
He is learning to watch them without wanting to chase
Finlo is still learning his lead skills and will require additional training in this area
Finlo has learnt to chase a ball but still learning to retrieve lol 😁
This beautiful boy will need a home that can keep him stimulated as with all working breeds they need to be kept active
Finlo is fine with other dogs IF they are prepared to put up with his annoying puppy play behaviours🤣🤣🤣 and yes he can be a real pain .... He likes to chew ears , chew their necks and just be a pain ... I have found that he is best with an older female that is prepared to tell him off when needed but will tolerate his puppy play
I have not tested him with cats
Finlo will make a great companion for an active person who is willing to put a bit of polish ion his training as he is quick to learn
Finlo is not a fence jumper or a tunnel digger
Finlo loves to play with toys and is happy to lie by the door while you are inside and will not try and scratch the door down if left out
Please do not apply if you are in an apartment or do not have a suitable yard for a working dog breed

We do this as we have seen way to many Alpha issues as dogs get older and never want our dogs to be in this situation so please understand and respect our policy.
Reading the full profile of our dogs up for adoption is crucial to your application being acceptable
If we have a specific criteria and your application does not suit we will not contact as we know these dogs and what is the best home for them
