Meet Rome
This cheeky and loveable boy is looking for a foster to adopt or adoption!

He is an 8 year old Beagle who loves food, snifffing the ground and people!Rome is, as all beagles are, very curious and inquisitive so he requires interaction and stimulation.

He is a boisterous, energetic boy who needs some correction when walking on the lead (like most beagles smells get him distracted) . Therefore, secure fencing is a must!

At times, Rome is so pumped to see you that he can jump up with excitement. A small stern voice and a command to sit is all it takes for him to correct his behaviour.
Rome is needy and loves to be on top of you, he just wants to be a part of your family. His last owner was very unwell and wasn't able to give him the attention he deserved.

Side note: He travels very well in the car. Get ready for post quarantine adventures!

We are looking for a family to take him on who has strong boundaries, able to correct and tell him "whats ok and not ok", as well as provide ongoing training and stimulation, be active enough to give him the lifestyle he craves and reteach him all his old tricks. He can sit and drop!

We are also after a family that will integrate him into their family as their best friend.

It is unknown how he is with large dogs but is too boisterous with small dogs and young children are not recommended. Homes with cats, pocket pets or small farm animals are not suitable and need not apply.

He is crate trained, walks on the lead with some correction (needed when he gets distracted) and overnight toilet trained.

Breed experience is preferred.

Vet notes: he is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, flead and wormed.
