About Frankie
Hello I’m Frankie and I’m on the lookout for my forever family. I am a small, 13 week old dachshund cross border collie with a big personality!
My foster mum tells me what a good boy I am, especially when I do wees and poos outside (which I do, most of the time). I have only had a few accidents inside my foster home and my foster mum is confident with more time and encouragement I’ll be fully toilet trained (whatever this means!).
I’m very smart like a border collie and very long like a dachshund- the perfect combination if I do say so myself. Oh and my foster mum keeps telling me how cute I am, don’t you agree?
I would love my new family to have another four legged friend or work part time/from home so I’m not alone all the time.
I am crate trained and happily sleep inside all night in my crate, so my new family needs to continue this - my crate is my safe space after all.
I don’t mind small humans as long as they are nice and gentle with me (I’m still small) and don’t try and carry me around.
Cats? Well I’ve never met a cat before but I’m sure with a slow introduction, we would get along just fine.
I really like food so I will be easy to teach tricks to, I’m very eager to learn.
I haven’t gone for any walks cause I’m not big enough yet, but I would really like my new family to take me on regular walks to keep me stimulated and include me in family outings.
Medical notes
Frankie is currently 5.2 kgs

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
