Widget Is Trying A New Home!!

Widget is trying a new home!!

widget is looking for a new home as her owners will be travelling overseas for an extended period. She weighs around 5 kilos and has a white coat with the jack russell brown and tan patches. Widget has a quiet temperament and is initially timid with strangers but warms up once she has checked them out in her own time and sees that her 'human pack' have accepted them. She takes time to warm up to people and will avoid people who push themselves at her, preferring to check them out and wag her tail and sit next to them when she is ready. As an 8 month old pound puppy, it was clear that widget had been mistreated and was extremely timid. She was initially unable to tolerate eating in anyone's presence, being patted or accepting food from the hand and had obviously never been on a lead. Now, she fully trusts her family and extended family and spends her time on a lap or someone’s bed when she can. She also loves her walks and eats anything that is shared with her. Widget has lived her whole life with another larger dog, two adults and a teenager in hunters hill, sydney so she is used to adults and other dogs. She 'dog wrestles' with tilly (who is three times her size) but doesn’t like sudden movement or surprises making a home with children unsuitable for her.  widget must have access to outside as she is not fully house trained so the door is always left open for her to go outside when she needs to. Widget is also used to spending time at a farm and she likes bounding over long grass around the fields and chasing the odd cow so she would also be suitable for a larger property where there are other dogs to play with. Widget loves to play fetch but hasn’t quite nailed the 'return' bit! she will bark at a stranger ringing the door bell, or someone looming over her that she doesn’t know, but she is not a yappy dog. Her family have already found a new home for their kelpie x tilly but now need to find a home for widget.   she is a quiet, very sweet and loving little girl and she needs an owner who understands shy dogs. In return, they will be rewarded with her love and loyalty.  the best home for widget will be with a retired couple who don't have lots of comings and goings and definitely no noisy grandchildren visiting.  widget will be happy to share her day with her family and give lots of love in return. Widget comes desexed, microchipped, currently vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, has nsw local council lifetime registration and is available for a $0 adoption fee. Widget is also available for adoption outside nsw.
