About Bandit ~ Kelpie x Cattledog pup (On Trial 21/3/20)
Hi there! I’m Bandit, an 8 week old Kelpie x Cattle Dog puppy. My name suits me well because I have an adorable habit of stealing kisses. I am also a bit of a shadow, following my humans around and stalking the scary house rabbit.
I love to run around and watch TV, I actually watch it! Once I have had a good run and some TV time it is time for a nap! I am a massive sook and will always crawl on your lap for some cuddles and belly rubs. Still being young I can be a bit cheeky and may chew the wrong thing, but I am learning what I can and cannot chew quickly. So lots of toys please! I especially love plush squeaky toys.
I am a very clever boy and already have good name recall and know how to sit! I even sit while waiting for my food. I also know how to give kisses when asked! I am a quick learner and very food motivated. My foster family are currently toilet training me and I’m starting to get the hang of it but still have accidents sometimes.
I am such a happy and friendly boy, with so much energy and love to give! While I am a little timid, I do get along with dogs much bigger than me if introduced right. I even tolerate rabbits and try to play with my foster rabbit sibling, he can scare me sometimes though. I would love a family who will include me in their daily life, take me for lots of walks and play with me. I am happy to watch TV and hangout too.
I am going to grow into a medium sized dog and would really benefit from attending puppy training classes hopefully it will help me gain some confidence. I will need to have continued training too, so I don’t forget what I’ve learnt. I will also need a family that understands l need lots of exercise and mental stimulation so that I don’t get bored. Someone who has a bit of knowledge or experience with my breed would be awesome! It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time because I am a puppy and require feeding four times a day.
I am currently in foster care with 2 big dogs, my brother Crash and the house rabbit so I’m getting lots of socialisation. When my foster family go out, I cope very well but need toys to chew and play with. I would love to be welcomed inside when people are home and be allowed to be involved in my new family's life. I will also need to be able to sleep inside at least until I’m fully grown. You will need good fencing and no small gaps and a decent size yard for me to run around in.
I'm so excited to meet my forever family!
