Kos

Kos is a big softie when it comes to us humans, he loves to be around people. So being left chained up in a back yard getting minimal food and very little human interaction made this guy feel very unloved. He came to us with badly fly bitten ears, very skinny and skin issues, which now has been treated. Kos has a couple of other issues including an aortic stenosis which is an inherited cardiovascular condition, he also has an abscess on his prostate which is being treated with medication and he will need an ultrasound in a few weeks (which he needs to come back here to the shelter so that we can get our vet to organize) to make sure the abscess has gone, if not properly treated this can cause immense pain when the dog tries to go to the toilet. Kos will need a very committed family willing to monitor his health but he will give you lots of kisses and cuddles in return.
Now a little more about Kos’s character, he loves people he can be a bit selective with other dogs, so a quiet one may be ok, he is not going to appreciate a dog jumping all over him! He seems to keep his distance from cats, (we think he is scared of them, but don’t tell kos that as that may upset him).
