About Oscar De La Redcat
Oscar de la Redcat came into rehab with Cat People of Melbourne for as he had a bit of a problem. Not the usual fast cars, addiction to cat nip and beautiful girl cats that most middle aged, paunchy, international supercats have but a problem nonetheless. Oscar has a nervous squirt response and being a pure bred red burmese, it has that particular odour that really can't be mistaken for anything other than disgruntled burmese pong. Definitely not a perfume to share with the masses!
Oscar's rehab has been going well, he's been getting therapy, been on a special diet, and is finally being allowed to go out unsupervised. He still has the occasional squirt, usually when something upsets him such as vacuum cleaners, too many strangers, and worst of all another burmese in the house! The ultimate betrayal, There Can Be Only One!
Despite his highly strung creative genius ways, Oscar is a really sweet loving guy, with a slim muscular build, a cute little middle aged paunch, long long toes, stunning eyes, round ears and a gorgeous 'red' coat (more like orange to us but we're not burmese fanciers). Oh and the voice! Unmistakeable...
Oscar is a smooch, loves a cuddle and will stretch up and put his paws on your shoulder to be lifted up and carried around. Sleeps on the bed, or in the bed under the covers. Not always fond of other cats but is learning to get along, even though they're only common moggies. He puts them in their place with an impressive hiss.
Oscar de la Redcat is looking for somewhere where he can practice his art (the art of smooch) and be loved unconditionally, given gently firm boundaries (a sharp no is usually enough to stop him in his tracks). If you think you can give this distinguished gentleman the home he deserves, hit the Enquire Now button below and send in your credentials! Oscar de la Redcat is waiting!
Oscar de la Redcat is a healthy lean boy with a good appetite (microchip #953010004245549, source #EE101165). His only health issue is the nervous squirting but this is now minimal and getting better by the day with behavioural supplements and therapy. He is available for adoption right now!
