About Taco(now Lewis)
Hi, my name is Taco and my mum and dad had to go into a nursing home and I have found myself in what I think they call foster care with other creatures just like me. It was a bit strange at first but it's not so bad, I'm actually starting to enjoy myself!
I love going for walks with my two foster brothers but they are seniors and I still have lots of energy to burn as I am a mere 7 years young.
I have met many other dogs on our walks which I have enjoyed and have even dipped my toes in some water at the beach.
I am still getting used to the car and other new experiences. I can be a little timid at times and get scared with loud noises and but am getting more confident every day. I am quite accustomed to being around humans most of day so my new family will need to be home more often than not.
My foster mum says that I will need a home without cats as I am fond of chasing them.. I can't help it, its fun! I wouldn't mind sharing my new humans with another small doggy friend.
I am not sure about little people so would be best with an Adult Only home and one that includes me sitting on the couch beside you and slipping under the doona covers - sorry this is non negotiable.
I sleep all night and will let you know when I need to go outside, basically I'm perfect.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
