About Belle
Belle
Sweet, loyal and playful
Medium Female Shih Tzu Mix Dog
Belle is a gorgeous 3 year old tri-coloured female Shih-Tzu/Maltese, with a very sweet and loyal nature and is very well behaved. She would make a wonderful addition to any family with children over the age of 5, or a couple who perhaps work from home. She does not have a mean bone in her little body and just loves everyone she comes into contact with. Everyone who meets Belle just loves her in return.
Belle was a very reluctant surrender - her owners were very devoted to her, she was very much loved and part of their family. However, some ill health in the family necessitated them allowing MDR to re-home their precious pet.
Belle is house trained and must be able to sleep inside at night and have 24 hour access inside and outside the home. She will cry when she needs to go outside to the toilet (no matter what time of the night!). She absolutely loves running around and playing in the garden with her toys, especially her tennis balls.
Belle needs to be with another active dog, she must have a secure gated and fence yard, big enough for her to play in. She needs someone who has plenty of time to spend with her, and she loves to sit with you and will follow you around in the home. She can not be left alone at home all day without human company as she is used to having someone around her most of the time.
She will require regular grooming, including washing, brushing and clipping . She loves the rain and playing in the wet grass - not too good for her coat!!
Belle will bark if she hears a noise, although generally she is a quiet dog. This little girl is a real delight and will give her new family a lot of love and affection. She is fully vaccinated and ready to go to her new home now.

.......................
Midcoast Dog Rescue Inc. is trying to expand its foster carer network so that we can help more dogs in need. This is a very rewarding experience and suits a variety of people. Some people, for whatever reason, are unable to make a permanent commitment to a dog, a commitment which can last for up to 15 years. Others use the fostering experience as an interim measure before committing to permanently owning a dog. If you think you could be interested in becoming a foster carer, either on a long-term or a short-term basis, and would like more information please contact Nigel on 6584 4992 or Wendy on 6584 7027.
