About Abby
Abby is such a delight to have at our shelter, she is sweet, lovable and loyal.
Abby's story;
Shelter staff came to work on Monday morning to find a big box dumped at the gates of the animal shelter.
There was a little hole chewed in the box, so we knew something was/had been in there, investigating the contents in the box to find there was nothing in there. Thinking, what was ever in there, had now escaped.
24 hours later while feeding the other animals at the shelter, staff hear a tiny meow coming from under the window, upon inspection a little (maybe 9 month old) very wet tortiseshell cat was found hiding behind the air con unit trying to hide from the rain.
Staff believe that Abby was infact the animal that was dumped in the box out the front of the shelter the day before and stayed there till help arrived.
Abby has settled in nicely and is very affectionate, loving the pats and cuddles.
Adoption details
The adoption process at the Goulburn Mulwaree Animal Shelter is relatively easy. We ask that if you are interested in a animal, please attend our Shelter in Goulburn to meet the animal and the Ranger team so that we can make sure that the animal is the right match for you. We do not take expressions of interest over the phone or via email.
Once you have decided on which future pet you would like to adopt from the Shelter, all that is required by you is to make a payment at the Animal Shelter by either eftpos or credit card, provide details for the microchip and registration paperwork and then pick up your future pet from the Council veterinary service provider once they have been de-sexed and vaccinated (Council staff will advise you when the animal is booked in at the veterinary clinic. This usually falls within 14 days of the purchase).
The following are the re-homing fees for dogs and cats,
