About Ruby
Hi! I'm Ruby, Smart and playful girl with a lot of potential
Meet Ruby, the sweetest little monkey in Karratha!
Ruby did not have the best start in her life. Her previous owners didn't care much about her so she ended up in a foster family.
This precious girl is giving her best everyday to please her foster parents.
At the moment she's living under one roof with an older large dog and a cat. She gets along really well with all dogs and LOVES a good play.
Ruby is a very happy dog and she even tries to play with the cat, without ever hurting her or getting too close. It's hilarious to watch!
She is learning a lot from her older dog brother and her foster parents say that she is a very intelligent girl that loves to please and learns quickly. She would love another dog or cat companion in her home, but of course it's not a must.
Ruby already knows how to sit and nails it 9/10 times. She can stay inside alone and in the garden for a few hours - but she likes to have a chewing toy to keep her entertained. Her foster parents are in the process of teaching her more important tricks and she's an A student!
Due to her former home, she is quite timid when first meeting people - especially men. As soon as she realizes the person won't harm her, she is the sweetest girl!
She just needs time and good people to build up confidence and trust.
At her foster home, she is a big mummy's girl and very very cuddly. She'd make the perfect family dog.
Ruby LOVES belly rubs. She absolutely lives for them.
If you are willing to give her heaps of belly rubs, put time and effort in this gorgeous girl and show her that there is no need to be afraid of humans, she will reward you with unconditional love, trust and a lot of sweet little kisses.
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
