Beccy

Funny little Beccy!
This sweet wee girl has been in our care for nearly 6 months now and is finally ready to blossom out into a home of her own.

Beccy may look the part for a Tonkinese/Siamese but please, don't fall for her on looks alone.
She certainly has those genetics in her, but nurture informs behaviour as much if not more than nature and her life has been rough (as far as we can tell!)
She was caught in a trap and taken to the pound. When we collected her, Beccy was underweight, dirty and had a foul smelling infection in her mouth.
She was also not so social, earning herself the nickname Bitey Beccy! She's come a long way since then though :)

Beccy is a healthy little girl now. She is prone to excessive grooming that leads to her coughing up furballs, but we are optimistic that once she has a home of her own and more space to call hers, she will overcome this behaviour.

Beccy is going to be very, very shy when she goes to a new home. It might take her weeks or even months to settle in and get to know you. She will need somewhere safe to hide, but you'll need to offer gentle love and reassurance to coax her out.

Beccy is good with other cats and will be happy to make friends with your existing feline. We believe she will be okay around dogs who are respectful and cat-friendly.
Any kids in your home will need to understand that she is not a cuddly cat. Maybe one day she will be! But not for a while yet.

Adopting a cat like Beccy is what ""rescue"" really means.
