About Bart
Bart is a gorgeous 2-year-old male greyhound looking for his forever home!
Since coming into foster care Bart has really come out of his shell and it's been such a delight to see him open up and get comfy. He loves long walks, and sniffing everything he can to check things out - the world really is very interesting to him. Bart is also learning how to play and will spend a bit of time each day with one of his favourite toys. He's not a chewer, but shoes can be strangely appealing. If he does steal a shoe, he's learned to trade it up for his toys, so he really is a good boy! He loves his humans and a good snuggle on the couch.
Bart has learned great house manners since coming into foster care, and basic commands such as 'on your bed'. He knows to toilet outside but he can't hold on for a full day. If left alone for more than about 4 hours, Bart will need inside-outside access so he can take himself off for a bathroom break.
Bart is reasonably good on-leash although he is a fast walker. So if you are looking for good exercise, Bart could be the pup for you. He does make up for his brisk walks with lots of napping and chilling around the home in between! Bart is still learning about other dogs and can be nervous and stressed around them. He needs a strong and confident handler on walks who will patiently continue to teach him to respond calmly. Our Amazing Greys team can help with this. Having some experience with medium to large dogs (or even better, with greyhounds) would be a bonus for Bart.
If you think you might be the right forever home for sweet Bart, or would like to know more about him, please contact us at adopt@amazinggreys.com.au.
Please no applications from homes with other dog breeds or cats.
